Digital menu
Digital menu for restaurants in Portugal
A digital menu replaces the paper one with a page that opens on the guest's phone from a link or a QR code. No apps, no downloads, and no waiting for the next print run to fix a price.
What a digital menu actually is
It's your menu published as a web page, built to be read on a phone. The guest points the camera at the table's QR code, or taps a link you've shared on social media, and the menu opens immediately. They can browse by moment of the day — breakfast, starters, mains, desserts — and see each dish with photography, description, price and dietary information.
No app to install
This is the difference that matters most in practice. Asking a guest to install an app just to see the menu is asking them to give up — nobody downloads software to have lunch. The Akuti menu is an ordinary web page that opens on any phone with a camera and a browser, iPhone or Android, brand new or five years old. No account to create, no permissions to accept, no storage taken up.
Professional photography for every dish
A digital menu without good photography is just a more expensive PDF. We photograph the dishes as part of onboarding, and that's what actually changes a guest's decision at the table — they see the dish before ordering it, and order the one that caught their eye. If you already have quality photography, we use it.
Always current, no reprinting
Changing a price, marking a dish sold out, or launching a daily special stops being a typesetting problem. Make the change in the backoffice and it appears immediately for the next guest who opens the menu — including the printable PDF and every language you have active.
- Change prices without reprinting menus
- Sell out or hide a dish mid-service
- Publish a daily special in the morning and pull it at night
- Switch the summer menu for the winter one in one go
Special menus and the wine list
The same structure serves the menus that live alongside the main one. A digital wine list gets room that paper never gives — region, grape variety, producer and tasting notes all fit, without turning the list into a book. The same goes for group menus, weekend brunch, or a cocktail list.
How long it takes to get running
Most restaurants are fully online — menu, QR code and social media included — in one to two weeks. We handle the setup, the design and the updates; on your side, all that's needed is your current menu and a date for the photography session.
Digital menu FAQ
Does the guest need to install an app?
No. The menu opens in the phone's browser from a QR code or a link. There's nothing to download and no account to create.
Does it work on older phones?
Yes. It's an ordinary web page, so it works on any phone with a browser and a camera, iOS or Android.
Can I keep my current menu's design?
You can. We can follow your existing identity, or build something new with you — it's your choice.
What if I don't have photography of the dishes yet?
We can arrange a professional photography session as part of onboarding, so the menu doesn't launch without images.
Does the digital menu replace the paper one?
Only if you want it to. The service includes a print-ready PDF menu, generated from the same content, for restaurants that want to keep physical menus in the dining room.
