Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data Akuti collects when you visit this site or our interactive digital menus, or when you fill in our contact form — what we use it for, and what rights you have. It applies to akuti.pt and to the digital menus we build for restaurants (hosted at menu.akuti.pt and on our template demo pages).
Who we are
Akuti, a brand of Overline Publicidade, is the data controller for the personal data collected through this site. You can reach us at contacto@akuti.pt. For the company's full identification, including registered address and domains, see the "About Us" page.
What data we collect
We only collect the data you give us directly through the contact form:
- Name
- Restaurant name
- Phone
- The message you send us
What we use your data for
We use this data only to reply to your inquiry and, where relevant, schedule a demo of our services. We don't use your data for marketing without your explicit consent, and we never sell it to third parties.
Who we share data with
We don't sell or share your data with third parties for advertising purposes. We rely on the following service providers, who process data on our behalf:
- Cloudflare — hosts the site and provides spam/bot protection (Turnstile) on the contact form.
- Amazon Web Services (AWS, eu-west-1 region) — processes and routes messages submitted through the contact form.
Cookies and similar technologies
We don't use third-party advertising or analytics cookies on this site. Cloudflare Turnstile, mentioned in the previous section, may use cookies or local storage strictly necessary to tell human visitors apart from automated traffic on the contact form — these don't require your consent since they're essential to the form working. Every font used on this site and on our digital menus is served directly by us, so your browser never contacts Google's servers for fonts. YouTube videos embedded in some menus may set their own cookies — see the "Embedded YouTube videos" section.
Interactive digital menus
Our interactive digital menus — including the menus hosted at menu.akuti.pt, our template demo pages, and the menu you can try in the "See it in action" section of this site — are read-only pages. There are no contact forms, sign-ups, ordering flows, or any other field where you'd enter personal data. We only save your language preference in your browser's local storage (localStorage) so the menu opens in the same language next time — just the language name (e.g. "English"), not personal data, and it never leaves your device. The menu content itself (dishes, prices, photos) is managed by the restaurant and isn't personal data about you; responsibility for that content is set out in our Terms of Service.
Embedded YouTube videos
Some dishes may include a video. When present, it's shown in a YouTube iframe — this only loads if the dish has a video attached. When it loads, YouTube (Google) may set its own cookies and receive technical data from your device, per Google's own privacy policy.
How long we keep your data
We keep contact form data for as long as needed to respond to your inquiry and maintain any resulting business relationship. If there's no follow-up, we delete it within a reasonable period. You can request earlier deletion at any time.
Your rights
Under GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of your data, to object to that processing, and to data portability. You can also file a complaint with Portugal's data protection authority, the CNPD (www.cnpd.pt). We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the latest version.
